Central's Brannan Honored for Big Bat with All-District Superlative

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Central senior catcher Nixon Brannan led the Bobcats' offense in 2019 and garnered a superlative in District 3-6A.

The recent North Central Texas College signee took home Offensive MVP honors in 3-6A after hitting .432 in 125 at-bats. In addition to his team-high batting average, Brannan led the team in RBIs with 43 and hits with 54.

Brannan was one of nine Bobcats honored. Central had three first team selections and five second team selections.

The Bobcats had three outfielders recognized between the first and second teams. There were also three Bobcat infielders named as well.

Central finished the year 24-14-1 and won the bi-district round of playoffs before falling to rival Odessa High in the area round of playoffs.
