Wall Finishes Regular Season Perfect

BRADY, TX -- The top-ranked Wall Hawks closed out their regular season with a perfect 28-0 record following a 10-2 win over Brady on Tuesday.

As the Hawks have done throughout most of the season, they used a big second inning to seize control. Leading 1-0, Wall scored five runs thanks to hits from Jake Jansa, Tristan Jenkins, Ryan Gully and Gage Weishuhn and a bases-loaded walk from Caleb Heuertz in the second to jump out to a 6-0 lead.

Wall's defense continued its dominant streak, holding Brady scoreless through the first five innings and limiting the Bulldogs to just three hits. Walker Bauer got Brady on the board with a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

Jansa finished as the top hitter for Wall after going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. He also got the win on the mound for Wall after going five innings and allowing one hit with eight strikeouts.

Weishuhn finished the day 1-for-3 with three RBIs.

Bauer took the loss for Brady after allowing six runs on four hits with five strikeouts in three innings of work.

Wall (28-0) will face Crane in the bi-district round. Brady (14-11-1) will square off with Presidio in the playoffs.
