AREA SOFTBALL: Winters Tops Hermleigh for District Title

HERMLEIGH, TX -- The Winters Lady Blizzards were able to claim a 10-9 win over Hermleigh to secure the District 6-2A championship on Friday.

Hermleigh won 14-2 the first meeting between the two and Friday's win exacted Winters' revenge.

Winters now moves to 17-7 overall and are the first playoff seed for District 6-2A. They will face Eldorado in the bi-district round of playoffs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at the San Angelo Central softball complex.
