Maidens Fall in Dying Seconds of Regional Quarterfinal

LUBBOCK, TX -- The Lake View Maidens' season came to a close after a bizarre series of events in their meeting with Canyon.

Lake View fell 2-1 after Canyon scored in the final 45 seconds to seal the win. That happened after the match had been suspended due to weather last night with 22 minutes left in the game.

The game was suspended with both teams even at 1-1.

The Maidens finish the season 12-6-1 and won the District 5-4A title by going unbeaten during district play.
