SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Central Lady Cats continued their dominant ways while the Bobcats picked up a scrappy win to sweep Fort Worth Haltom on Friday.
The Lady Cats started the day with a dominant 6-0 win behind Jules Meza's hat trick.
Central picked up a pair of goals in the first half, starting with Addison Bonaventure slotting home a penalty. Meza picked up a brace off an assist from Mikaylee Pope to give Central a 2-0 lead at the half.
After Aspen Connell and Torren Martinez put the Lady Cats up 4-0 in the second half, Meza completed her hat trick off a pair of assists from Alayni Delgado and finished Central's onslaught. Delgado finished the night with three assists.
The win puts the first place Lady Cats three points clear of Euless Trinity in District 3-6A.
A first half goal proved to be all the Bobcats needed in the nightcap to beat Haltom 1-0.
Mychael Medina finished a pass from Miles Houser in the 28th minute to give Central the lead.
Jacob Little and Damian Espinoza each spent a half in goal to keep the shutout.
The Bobcats (4-11-3, 2-6-2) and the Lady Cats (15-0-5, 9-0-1) will travel to Weatherford on March 19.
