Boy's Basketball Playoff Pairings: 4 Teams Advance to Regional Quarterfinals

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The field of Concho Valley boy's basketball teams in the playoffs has dwindled from 17 to just four after the area round of the playoffs.

Eden held off a fourth quarter comeback from Sierra Blanca to win 68-67. Robert Lee took down Sanderson 56-48. No. 25 Irion County continued their historic season with an 84-62 win over Rankin. Veribest won their area round game with a 52-41 result against Fort Davis.

Now all four teams will square off with one another in the regional quarterfinals.

Here are the regional quarterfinal pairings:

Class 1A

Region I

  • #25 Irion County (W11) vs Veribest (T11), Tuesday, Feb. 26, 7:00 p.m. @ Lake View
  • Robert Lee (R11) vs Eden (W12), Tuesday, Feb. 26, 8:00 p.m. @ Junell Center, Angelo State University
