Girls Basketball Playoff Pairings: Regional Tournament

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Four girls basketball teams from the Concho Valley are into the regional tournament after wins in the third round of the playoffs.

Class 3A no. 1-ranked Wall edged out no. 8 Shallowater 47-43 thanks to a pair of late free throws from Sawyer Lloyd. Class 2A no. 2-ranked Mason made light work of Somerville for a return trip to the regional tournament.

Christoval booked their place in the regional tournament for the first time since 2016 after a 50-33 win over Seagraves on Tuesday.

Veribest's cinderella run was extended after downing district foe Blackwell on Monday, 34-29.

Here are their pairings for the regional tournaments:

Class 3A

Region I - Wayland Baptist University, Plainview

Class 2A

Region I - South Plains College, Levelland

• Christoval (W7) vs #5 Panhandle (R2), Friday, Feb. 22, 1:00 p.m.

Region IV - San Marcos High School

• #2 Mason (W27) vs Shiner (T29), Friday, Feb. 22, 6:00 p.m.

Class 1A

Region II - Abilene Christian University

• Veribest (W11) vs #9 Hermleigh (W13), Friday, Feb. 22, 8:30 p.m.
