SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Christian Academy will get a chance to leave their mark on the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Division III state swim meet this weekend.
The Sea Lions, coached by Tony Valdez, will send a total of four swimmers in four events to the meet at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium Feb. 6.
Gray Lusk qualified for the 200-yard individual medley race with a time of 2 minutes, 46.09 seconds at the regional meet back in January. Junior foreign exchange student Pietro Pierleoni qualified for the 200-yard freestyle (2:11.22) and the 100-yard freestyle (58.14).
Lusk and Pierleoni will make up half of their 200-yard freestyle relay, which qualified with a time of 1:54.92. Josh Mayben and Ethan Flores will make up the other half with Walker Lusk being the alternate.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:15 Wednesday morning.
