SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches released their latest rankings and not much has changed.
The Wall Lady Hawks (22-1, 8-0) held the top spot in Class 3A after extending their winning streak to 15 games with an 80-20 win over TLCA on Friday. The win clinched a playoff spot for the Lady Hawks, their 20th straight playoff berth. They travel to Sonora this Tuesday looking to keep their unblemished district record.
The Mason Cowgirls (28-1, 4-0) held at no. 3 in Class 2A. They routed Center Point 69-21 on Friday to extend their winning streak to 21 games. The Cowgirls host no. 6 San Saba this Tuesday. A win would put the Cowgirls into the playoffs.
After going 1-0 last week, the Garden City Lady Bearkats (23-3, 4-0) held the no. 7 spot in Class 1A. If they beat Borden County on Tuesday, they will clinch a playoff spot.
The only Concho Valley team in the rankings to make any move was the Veribest Lady Falcons (18-5, 7-1). They moved from 21st to 20th in the rankings after beating Sterling City and Irion County last week.
Veribest can clinch a playoff spot with a win over Robert Lee on Tuesday.
