Sonora's Johnson Selected to TAVC All-Stars

SONORA, TX-- Sonora senior Mary Kyle Johnson will now have two more opportunities to represent the Lady Broncos in volleyball as her high school career winds to a close.

In addition to her Big Country FCA All-Star Selection, the 6-foot tall middle blocker was named to the Texas Association of Volleyball Coaches All-Star Team for private schools and public schools in Classes 1A through 4A.

She is the only Concho Valley representative selected to the team.

Johnson finished off a dominant career by leading Sonora to back-to-back district championships and a 2018 trip to the regional quarterfinal. The All-Concho Valley volleyball MVP did so by leading the Lady Broncos in kills (413), points (219) and blocks (73).

The Texas A&M-bound senior also holds school records for career kills, kills in a season, career wins, playoff wins and career blocks.

The TAVC All-Star games are typically played on the third Saturday of May.
