WALL, TX-- The Wall Lady Hawks have been dominant this season as their 19-1 record reflects. They only lost to Class 6A Allen early in the year.
That dominance has been reflected in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches rankings with the no. 1 ranking for the majority of the season. They'll hold the ranking for another week after the TABC named the Lady Hawks the top team in Class 3A once again.
The Lady Hawks are coming off a dominant 84-20 win over Brady to remain undefeated in District 4-3A. The win was their 11th in a row. Wall will look to stay on top of the district standings against Ballinger this Tuesday.
Mason has also enjoyed a dominant run of 18 straight wins. They kicked off district play with a narrow 36-33 win over San Saba to move to 25-1 on the season. That win was good enough for the Cowgirls to hold at third in Class 2A. They'll travel to Harper on Tuesday looking to keep their red-hot form.
The Garden City Lady Bearkats are also eyeing a trip to San Antonio. They kicked off District 8-1A with a 41-30 win over Borden County. However, the Lady Kats were knocked down one spot to no. 7 in Class 1A.
The Veribest Lady Falcons are eyeing a district title in the competitive District 11-1A. They're currently 15-4 overall and 4-0 in district play. They held at no. 21 in the TABC's rankings after an idle period on Friday.
