Sonora's Dutton Highlights Local Selections in All-District 13-3A DII Team

SAN ANGELO, TX-- District 13-3A was a competitive district this year and some of the players on the Sonora Broncos and the Brady Bulldogs earned spots on the All-District teams.

Blanco ended up winning the district by going undefeated, but the Sonora Broncos did happen to make a playoff spot after starting district play 0-2. They eventually fell to Van Vleck in the bi-district round.

After Blanco lost to East Bernard on Friday, the honors decided by the coaches were released. They decided that the MVP of the district was Blanco's senior Cade Felps.

Sonora's Wesley Dutton was named the offensive co-MVP. Dutton ran for 718 yards and 14 touchdowns and also threw for 696 yards with 3 touchdowns.

The District Utility Player of the Year was also from Sonora. Hunter Bunch did in fact do a bunch for this Sonora team as he had 170 tackles and also returned kicks for the Broncos.

Sonora also had the District Lineman of the Year Jansen Morris. Morris was a staple for both sides of the ball by putting up seven sacks and 16 tackles for a loss.

Brady has a great future ahead of them with them having the offensive newcomer of the year Gonzalo Morales.
