ARLINGTON, TX-- Former Jim Ned star quarterback Colt McCoy will start against the Dallas Cowboys in AT&T Stadium, according to NBC Sports.
McCoy was placed in last Sunday against the Houston Texans after starter Alex Smith broke his right tibia and fibula.
McCoy came into the game and threw 6 of 12 for 54 yards with one touchdown as well. The Texans ended up winning 23-21.
Although Washington picked up former Cowboys QB Mark Sanchez on Monday, McCoy was named the starter by coach Jay Gruden.
While playing for Jim Ned High School in Tuscola just south of Abilene, he threw for 9,344 yards and 116 touchdowns.
He is the all-time leading passer 2A and also was two time Offensive MVP and First Team all-state, according to Texas Football.
McCoy led Jim Ned to the 2003 State Championship but fell short losing to the San Augustine Wolves.
Last time McCoy started a game was against Dallas in 2014 where he threw 25-30, 299 yards, and 1 interception. He did win the game 20-17.
The Vegas odds are that the Cowboys are favored by a touchdown.

Mc Coy also had a very nice (outstanding ) career in college, too.....ummm at the University of Texas? Just thought it was worth mentioning. Come on people..
