SAN ANGELO, TX-- The Central Bobcats couldn’t keep up with an explosive Fort Worth Haltom on Friday night, falling 50-33. Haltom put up 680 yards of total offense in the win.
Central had a respectable 517 yards of total offense led by Malachi Brown and Jackson Timme.

Brown had 278 yards passing, three touchdowns and three interceptions in the loss. On the ground, the sophomore put up 135 yards with two touchdowns.
Timme had a stellar night with six catches for 129 yards and three touchdowns.
Haltom opened the scoring just 46 seconds into the game when Michael Black found Decorian Johnson for a 44-yard touchdown pass. A bobbled snap on the extra point left the score 6-0.
Kenneth Cormier scored from 3 yards out on the next drive to put Haltom up 13-0 in the first quarter.
Sophomore Malachi Brown got Central their first score on a 12-yard run in the first quarter to pull within 13-7.
After Haltom went up 16-7 on a short field goal, Central pulled within three points with a 16-yard pass from Brown to Jackson Timme.
Haltom scored twice unanswered to close out the half up 33-13.
Brown found Timme a second time to pull within 33-20 in the third quarter. Haltom would score twice unanswered once again to go up 43-20.
Brown gave Central two more scores with a 9-yard run and 38-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Timme to pull within 43-33 in the fourth quarter.
Haltom put a bow on the game with a 5-yard touchdown run by Cormier to go up 50-33.
Central will face Arlington Lamar in the Bi-District round of Playoffs.
