Inclement Weather Forces Date Changes to Area Football Games, Including Wall-Sonora

SAN ANGELO, TX-- The Concho Valley and Big Country, as well as most of the state, are expected to receive more heavy rain this weekend.

That has forced more changes to Texas high school football games. Most of those changes have happened in the metroplex, but two Concho Valley games have opted to move their games up a day.

Mason and Tuscola Jim Ned were originally scheduled to play on Friday in Tuscola.

The Jim Ned football Twitter announced on Wednesday that the game had been moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in order avoid inclement weather.

Brady and Dublin will play on Thursday at 7 in Brady rather than Friday, according to the Dublin Athletic Booster Club Facebook page. The junior varsity and junior high games have been cancelled.

Sonora and Wall also decided to change the date for their game. According to the Sonora Broncos Facebook page, the game has been moved to Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

Christoval's home game against Cross Plains was also moved to Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Cougar Stadium.

Eden will host Rochelle tonight following their junior high game at 5 p.m.

We will update this story if more changes occur.
