BELTON, TX-- The Central Bobcats picked up a crucial district win with a 2-0 result over the second-place Belton Tigers on Tuesday.
On the heels of his career-best 14 strikeout performance, Jonathan Limon led the Bobcats by going the distance and striking out nine Tigers while allowing just four hits in the win.
The senior lefty retired nine of the last 11 batters he faced to boot.
Oscar Nino drove in the only two runs for the Bobcats in the top of the fourth inning when his double to center field scored Cole Nelson and Nixon Brannan.
Blake Mikeska, Nelson, Hayden Stevens and Bryson Murrell each tallied hits in the win.
With the win, Central (10-14, 4-1) moves into a two-way tie with Belton (8-9-1, 4-1).
The Bobcats will look to complete the series sweep on Thursday when they host the Tigers on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Donsky Field.
