SAN ANGELO, TX-- The fear of playing a Thursday game has vanished with the announcement that the Central Bobcats will only play on Fridays for the 2018 season, according to the Central Athletic Boosters.
Some game times still need to be finalized, but, with the exception of the Oct. 12 game against Abilene, the games are expected to all begin at 7 p.m. The game against Abilene will be a 7:30 kickoff.
Monday's announcement also laid out dates for homecoming, little bobcat night and the sixth annual bobcat tailgate.
Homecoming will take place during the Sept. 21 meeting with El Paso Pebble Hills. Central beat Pebble Hills 35-20 in the Bi-District round of the 2017 playoffs.
The first meeting between Central and Euless Trinity on Oct. 5 will feature the sixth annual bobcat tailgate. Last year, the tailgate was held prior to the Central-Odessa Permian game.
Little bobcat night will be during Central's regular season finale against Haltom City Nov. 9.
The Bobcats will hold their annual Spring Game Friday, May 18, at San Angelo Stadium at a time to be determined.
