SAN ANGELO, TX-- When noted quarterback coach Mike Leach or his staff makes you an offer, that means you've caught the eye of arguably the best air-raid coach in the history of the high powered offensive scheme.
Leach has coached big names like Graham Harral and current Texas Tech Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury among others.
So it only makes sense that their most recent offer was extended to one of the best gunslingers this side of the I-35 Corridor, Central's Maverick McIvor.
McIvor, the son of Texas Longhorn legend Rick McIvor, made the announcement via his Twitter account on Wednesday.
It was a matter of time before the big name colleges caught on to the 6-foot-3, 195-pound junior dual-threat QB.
After receiving offers from mid-major schools Bowling Green, North Texas and UTEP from late January to early February, Boise State came knocking on Feb. 7 for the Bobcat signal caller.
McIvor helped the 'Cats to an 11-1 record and fifth-consecutive district championship in 2017 by completing 259 passes for 3,369 yards and 43 touchdowns while rushing for 888 yards and eight scores.
