SAN ANGELO, TX-- After an 11-1 season and a fifth straight district title, the Central Bobcats have even more reason to be proud of their 2017 campaign.
The Texas Sports Writers Association announced their Class 6A All-State team on Saturday and six Bobcats were featured.
Holy Cross signee Henry Teeter was the lone Bobcat on the first team after a season in which he caught a school record 102 passes for 1,390 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Offensive Lineman Gunner Couch was named to the third team after helping protect quarterback Maverick McIvor (Honorable Mention QB) in his first year as a starter for the Bobcats.
Defensive backs Jakobe Green (113 tackles) and Gage Smith (5 Interceptions) were named to the honorable mention team.
The Bobcats leader in tackles, Noah Gatton, also earned honorable mention honors after recording 129 tackles in 2017.
