Lake View Given Dream District in Realignment

SAN ANGELO, TX-- The Lake View Chiefs are already in the 2018 and 2019 playoffs thanks to the UIL placing them in a four team football district for the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

The Chiefs are in District 2 with Andrews (9-3), Big Spring (0-10) and Seminole (11-2).

Andrews and Lake View played to start the 2017 season. Andrews got the best of the Chiefs in that game 75-21.

But the four team district will also allow Lake View to schedule most of District 1 (Clint, Mountain View, Fabens and San Elizario) and some of District 3 (Canyon, Dumas, Hereford and Pampa).

That type of non-district schedule should mean a good number of non-district wins for the Chiefs.

The announcement came as a shock to a lot of people after it looked like Lake View was going to be in a district with Brownwood, Gatesville and Stephenville, who were slotted in to Region 2 in District 5.
