SAN ANGELO, TX-- The upset-minded Central Lady 'Cats fought hard, but just weren't enough for 19th-ranked Waco Midway on Friday night in a 44-30 loss.
The Lady 'Cats got two critical pieces back on Friday night in Parris Parmer and Tay Dosson, who were sick in their loss to Belton on Tuesday.
Midway opened the scoring and never looked back, holding the lead the entire 32 minutes.
However, behind junior point guard Morgan Walker's sharp three-point shooting, the Lady 'Cats would cut the Midway lead to as few as four points multiple times in the game.
But Midway's speed decimated a shorthanded Central team in the first half, outscoring the Lady 'Cats 29-15 in the first half.
Walker would finish the night with three three-pointers and nine points. Parmer led the Lady 'Cats in scoring with 12 points.
The Lady 'Cats fall to 16-12 overall and 3-4 in district 8-6A.
Central will next play Killeen Shoemaker on the road next Tuesday at 6 pm.
