SAN ANGELO, TX-- An ugly, rainy day was fitting for the display put on at San Angelo Stadium when the Lake View Chiefs took the wrong end of a lopsided, 84-0 punch from Lubbock Estacado.
“What can you say about this game,” said Lake View Head Coach Hector Guevara. “It was bad.”
Six turnovers and almost 500 yards of offense by Estacado were the undoing of the Chiefs in this game on Friday night.
Lake View was simply outclassed, athletically, by Estacado. But a lack of class occurred in the first quarter when, while leading 28-0, Estacado recovered a surprise onside kick.
Estacado capped off their scoring in the fourth quarter with another rushing touchdown from 35 yards out.
Lake View falls to 0-5 going in to their bye week before facing Lubbock Coronado on Oct. 13 to open district play.

Damn....... 84 to 0, zippo, nothing, zilch !!! .... What a way to ruin a Homecoming performance for the few Ex Lake View alumni who might have come home and were thinking a different outcome might happen...... Embarrassing !!!

PermalinkSo, when a team decides to practice and recover an onside kick(regardless of score)that is somehow deemed "Classless"? smh. BTW, if you let a team blow you out..they WILL blow you OUT! Way to go Sam Fowler, just livin the dream (come true) in his own little world.
