Lake View Head Football Coach Resigns to Take Austin Area Position

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Doug Kuhlmann, campus athletic coordinator and head football coach at Lake View High School, has announced his resignation to accept a position with an Austin area school district. Doug notified his team and coaching staff on Monday.

Prior to his coaching days, Doug was a four-year letterman playing quarterback at Angelo State University. As a coach, Doug had two separate stints at Lake View High School. First, as Offensive Coordinator from 1983 to 1989 and most recently as head coach from 2011 – present.

San Angelo ISD has advertised for candidates to apply for the Lake View Head Football Coach and Athletic Director position. A press release from San Angelo ISD confirmed the athletics department has already received several high quality inquiries from potential candidates.

The San Angelo ISD stated it wishes Doug and his family the best in their future pursuits. His contributions to Lake View High School and San Angelo ISD will benefit students and employees far into the future, the district stated.
