ASU Baseball Stadium Opening Ceremony Rescheduled

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, the pregame tailgate party and the opening ceremony for Angelo State University’s newly refurbished Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium baseball venue has been rescheduled from Friday, Mar. 11 to Saturday, Mar. 12.

The pregame tailgate party, sponsored by the ASU Alumni Association, will not run from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University Ave.

The opening ceremony will begin at 3:40 p.m. at the baseball stadium, and the Rams’ game against Texas A&M-Kingsville will follow the ceremony at 4:00 p.m.

Also, the free admission for all fans to Friday’s game has been extended for the entire weekend and now covers all Rams baseball games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The “black out” promotion and free T-shirt give-away has also been moved to Saturday.

The Rams will play a double header against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday. If Friday’s game is rained out, it will be made up as the second game of a double header on Sunday.
