Dive Pirates with Theresa Cortez

SAN ANGELO, TX— Theresa Cortez stopped by the San Angelo LIVE! Studio to talk about Dive Pirates, a foundation that takes the disabled and veterans scuba diving.

According to divepirates.org, the combine resources and communities with physically disabled people to celebrate life after injury through adaptive scuba diving.

The most common candidates are individuals with spinal cord injuries, amputations, and individuals with hearing and vision loss. While anyone who is physically disabled can become a Dive Pirate, the organizations specializes in disabled military, law enforcement, and first responder veterans.
