Here's Where to Find the Girl Scout Cookies
SAN ANGELO, TX - As the annual Girl Scout Cookie season sweeps through San Angelo, cookie enthusiasts are on the lookout for those tempting treats.
Donna Brosh, Community Engagement Officer of the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, recently shared insights at the San Angelo LIVE! Studio.
Brosh kicked off the discussion with a reminder that the coveted cookies are available for only six weeks, ending on February 25.
Priced at $6 per box, the cookies are not only a delicious indulgence but also a pathway for girls to learn essential life skills.
In addition to the traditional emphasis on skills like sewing, cooking, and outdoor activities, the Girl Scouts program has evolved to incorporate STEM activities.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Brosh highlighted research findings that revealed early exposure to STEM in elementary school significantly boosts girls' confidence throughout their educational journey.
However, for those on the hunt for these iconic cookies, the real excitement lies in discovering the locations where they can be found.
San Angelo offers a variety of options to pick up some Girl Scout Cookies.
Angelo Bible Church stands out with a drive-through mostly on weekends, while San Angelo Stadium and Duncan Mechanical also join the lineup.
Major Walmart outlets, including the neighborhood market Walmart on Knickerbocker, Sam’s Club, Lowe’s, Maurices, Zero One Brewing Co, City National Bank, Fancy Pants, and Troubadors are additional locations where cookie cravings can be satisfied.
“I want to say thank you to the businesses that are opening their doors for us, giving us the opportunity for our girls to come sell cookies at their business,” Brosh said. “This is an awesome community that really supports these girls.”
