DETAILS: Juneteenth Parade & Celebration in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – The annual Juneteenth parade is this weekend and this year the party will be bigger and better than ever.

Of course the main part of the celebration will be the parade. Set up begins at 8:30 a.m. with the parade starting at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to be in the parade or of course sit at MLK Park and watch it go down MLK Blvd. Set up will be at the Dun Bar Library.

This year however things will be different when it comes to the activity part. On Saturday the Blackshear Heights Family will be hosting a three-on-three basketball tournament. The divisions will be 5th and 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade, 9th and 10 grade, and a mens and womens open division. Entry into the tournament will be $10 a person.

Tournaments will begin on Saturday. The championships will be held on Sunday at Sports Next Level. Visitors are welcome to come and watch the championships. Also on Sunday there will be a three point contest, free throw contest, and a skills challenge that is free to the public.

It's that time! The 5th Annual King/Queen of the turf! June 17 all 3 on 3 competition will be held at MLK park!
