WATCH: Water Main Break Near a San Angelo Elementary School Causes Geyser

SAN ANGELO — A water main break shot water several feet in the air Tuesday afternoon at an intersection near Bonham Elementary School.

According to our reporters on scene, on Oct. 25 at around 5 p.m., workers with the City of San Angelo’s Street and Bridge Crew were called out to the intersection of Southland and Southern Oak for the report of a water main break.

It appears a work crew using boring equipment to install fiber optic cable hit the water main.

Crews were able to cut off the water line in the area within the hour. The intersection is open but the area where the break occurred is coned off.

Drivers should be cautious at this intersection.
