WATCH: Sister Mary Elijah of The Most Holy Eucharist

CHRISTOVAL, TX -- As Sister Mary Elijah laid on the ground facing downward in the form of the cross during the chanting of the Litany of Saints during the Mass of Simple Profession it was at that moment she demonstrated her willingness to give her life completely to Christ.

On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Sister Mary Elijah's life forever changed as she made her Simple Vows to commit to a life of "chastity, poverty, and obedience," as a cloistered nun of Our Lady of Grace Carmel just outside Christoval.

Before family, friends, and members of the Roman Catholic Church, many witnessed as she also embraced her new religious name as Sister Mary Elijah of the Most Holy Eucharist.

"I chose the holy eucharist because he's with me at all times," said Sister Mary Elijah. "Receiving the Holy Eucharist I feel that I am being purified and cleansed and also receiving the graces not only for myself but for those who reject and refuse to receive Jesus."
