Cooking Meals at Home "Live" with the Angry Cactus

SAN ANGELO, TX -- It's been almost a month that Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered the closing of dining rooms of restaurants across the Lone Star State due to the coronavirus pandemic.

For restaurant owners like Tim Condon at the Angry Cactus-West Texas Bar & Grill in downtown San Angelo, it's meant having to become creative in keeping his restaurant relevant.

Over the years, Condon, the executive chef has been known for his unique and creative dinners. Although patrons may not be able to enjoy food in his restaurant at the moment, it's his Facebook cook-along dinners that are giving many across West Texas the ability to enjoy Angry Cactus cuisine while cooking along with Chef Tim Condon on Wednesday and Saturday nights.

Sterling City ISD FCCLA Instructor Sara Stevens has not only made dinner with her family via Condon's social media cook-alongs but she has utilized the platform with her students.

Watch the video and find how the cook-along dinners are going head-to-head with grocery store visits while bringing classrooms and families together. For more information on the cook-along dinners follow the link.
