WATCH: What Does San Angelo Look Like on a Snowy Day?

SAN ANGELO, TX – Wednesday was a very rare day in San Angelo. For the first time this winter the city saw snow.

The winter weather started during the night Tuesday and continued throughout the day Wednesday.

This type of weather is not common in San Angelo so many offices and schools decided to shut down. Here is a list of all the closures in San Angelo on Feb. 5:Schools and Businesses Closed Wednesday Due to Winter Weather

With the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo here many people aren't shocked the inclement weather is here as well.  Many people around town claimed the Rodeo brought in the weather but actually it came from a storm that swept across the nation.

Although the snow was here for so long only .01 inches of precipitation was recorded at the National Weather Service office at Mathis Field. Some parts of Texas received more than 12 inches.

Enjoy this winter weather while you can though because it is expected to clear by Thursday.
