WATCH: Angelo State Kicks Off Christmas Spirit with Lighting of the Tree

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Christmas Season has officially kicked off in San Angelo after Angelo State University lit their Christmas tree last night.

The night kicked off with the ASU's Symphony playing a Holiday Pops concert featuring classic Christmas songs such as We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Activities also included a synthetic ice-skating rink, inflatable bounce houses, cookie decorating and even the big man himself, Santa Claus, was there.

The night concluded with a speech by Angelo State's President Brian May followed by the countdown for the lighting of the tree.

The tree is lit and is located in front of the Mayer Administration Building located on Avenue N near the intersection of Johnson.
