SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Angelo State University Cheer Team will host two fall cheer clinics for local and area youth and high school students in October on the ASU campus.
Advance registration is required and is now open for both clinics.
Mini Spirit Camp - Friday, Oct. 9
- Age Group: K-6th Grade
- Cost: $30 per person
- Check in: 6 p.m.
- Camp: 6:30-8 p.m.
- Location: ASU Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance, 2050 S. Johnson St.
- Online Registration: Open through Oct. 7 via electronic form.
Participants will learn cheer, dance, tumbling and stunting fundamentals and participate in spirit-building activities with members of ASU cheer, dance and mascot programs. All proceeds will help support the ASU Cheer Team's participation in the 2027 NCA Collegiate Nationals competition.
Cheer Prospect Day - Saturday, Oct. 24
- Age Group: High School
- Cost: Free
- Clinic: 8-9 a.m.
- Location: ASU Band Practice Field, 2602 Dena Drive
- Online Registration: Open through Oct. 22 via electronic form.
This event is designed for prospective cheer athletes to explore ASU, meet the ASU Cheer Team and experience the energy of game day on campus. It is being hosted in conjunction with the ASU Admissions Game Day Tour that will run from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 24. Participants in Cheer Prospect Day and their families are also encouraged to sign up for the free Game Day Tour, which includes a guided campus tour, an academic fair, the Ram Jam tailgate party, and free admission to the Rams football game against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
