Cupid, the 'Line Dance King,' to Close San Angelo River Fest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Cupid, known as the “Line Dance King,” will close the San Angelo River Fest on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026. The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. along the Concho River.

The festival features live music, sports tournaments, family activities, food and craft vendors, and a car show. On the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage, performances include the Lamar Cheerleaders, Raks Sanan dance troupe, Lake View Cheerleaders, Lake View Chieftettes and Lincoln Royals, Fort Concho Cheerleaders, and Lake View Mariachi. The DTSA Mermaid Pageant will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., after which One Voice, Once Church will perform from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with Cupid performing at 8 p.m.

The Shannon Kids Zone operates from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a $5 wristband that grants access to pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatables, games, and a Splash Bash from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Sports activities include the River Fest Classic baseball tournament at Texas Bank Sports Complex, flag football at Neff’s Amusement Park, 3-on-3 basketball and pickleball at the YMCA, a Vega washer pitching tournament, and the Clash on the Concho skateboarding event downtown.

Additional attractions feature music under the Chadbourne Street Bridge and a car show.
