WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) visited Mason High School to present the Congressional Bronze Medal to Sabina Perez, the highest honor Congress presents to America's youth.
Congress established the Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, service, and achievement in young citizens.
The Congressional Award provides students to learn the values of service, personal development, fitness, and citizenship through character-forming experiences that shape tomorrow's leaders.
"I was honored to present Mason High School student Sabina Perez with the Congressional Bronze Medal. This award reflects the dedication, discipline, and commitment to service she has shown through the Congressional Award Program.
"Sabina represents the best of our district's next generation, and I look forward to seeing all she will accomplish,” Pfluger said.
