Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo to Conduct Joint Emergency Exercise Wednesday

SAN ANGELO, TX — First responders from the City of San Angelo and Goodfellow Air Force Base will participate in a joint emergency response training exercise at the base Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Individuals on and near the installation may hear sirens and the “giant voice,” the base-wide loudspeaker system used for safety announcements, during the exercise.

The public is reminded that the signals are part of the scheduled training and should not cause alarm.

Community members and base personnel should plan for potential traffic delays at all base entry gates.
