Tip-A-Cop Event Raises $16,000 for Special Olympics

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Law enforcement and fire agencies from across Tom Green County raised $16,301.05 at a Tip-A-Cop event at the San Angelo Texas Roadhouse to benefit Special Olympics Texas, making it the second-highest fundraising location in the state. 

The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office participated alongside other first responders in the event supporting Special Olympics athletes. 

Officials noted that donations, conversations and interactions with residents contributed to the total. The agencies serve as “Guardians of the Flame” for the organization.
