New Knickerbocker Lane Closures to Begin Monday

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation will close the four outermost lanes of Knickerbocker Road between Loop 306 and Johnson Street starting Monday, July 20, as the next phase of an intersection improvement project.

The three innermost lanes, which closed June 22, will reopen, TxDOT said in a traffic alert Friday.

The project is expected to be completed in fall 2026, weather permitting.

Drivers should plan ahead for delays during peak hours and drive cautiously through the work zone.
