Fastest Show on Water: Drag Boats to Hit 250+ MPH in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX - The IHRA Outlaw Drag Boat Series is hosting San Angelo's annual boat racing showdown out on Lake Nasworthy this weekend, June 26-28. 

"Get ready for one of the most exciting weekends in motorsports as the IHRA Outlaw Drag Boat Series brings high-speed racing action to Spring Creek Marina on Lake Nasworthy," information stated. "Watch drag boats blast across the water at speeds exceeding 250 MPH, including the Top Fuel Hydro class competing for a $70,000 winner's purse."

The event will happen at the Spring Creek Marina, 2680 Camper Road, beginning Friday at 7 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 8 a.m.

There will be food trucks, vendors, music, and a family and dog-friendly atmosphere. The city encourages the use of lawn chairs for general admission seating. Every ticket includes a pit access.
