Goodfellow AFB to Conduct Severe Weather Exercise Thursday

SAN ANGELO, TX — Goodfellow Air Force Base will conduct a severe weather-related exercise on Thursday, June 18, and residents in the area may hear loud announcements over the base’s public address system, but should not be alarmed.

The base will use its “giant voice” loudspeaker to broadcast weather and safety information during the exercise, according to a media advisory released Wednesday by the 17th Training Wing Public Affairs office.

Delays at the gates can be expected while the exercise is underway.
