Tom Green County Sheriff's Office to Host Glow in the Dark Run

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office is hosting its Glow in the Dark 5K Run on July 25 for Special Olympics Texas.

This is the second consecutive year the event will be held.

Special Olympics Texas supports children and adults with intellectual disabilities by providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports.  

"Join the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office for their Run for Special Olympics Texas," a Facebook post stated. "Run in order to celebrate your involvement with Special Olympics Texas, all proceeds go to SOTX athletes in the area." 

Event Details 

When: Thursday, July 25 

Where: Santa Fe Park, 111 Veterans Memorial Dr. 

Time: Registration at 8 p.m., run at 8:30 p.m. 

Cost: 5K run - $35 (includes shirt), 1-mile run/walk - $25 (includes shirt)
