SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Independent School District Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 5:45 p.m. Monday in the board room of the district administration building at 1621 University Ave. to receive multiple board updates and reports and consider approvals for technology purchases and a construction guaranteed maximum price.
The agenda opens with a call to order and establishment of a quorum, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States and Texas flags and a period for public comments.
Under board updates and reports, trustees will receive information on bond construction, the district budget, energy usage, end-of-year Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) data, elementary attendance boundaries and a discussion of secondary feeder patterns.
The board will then consider approval of the purchase of LightSpeed products and the guaranteed maximum price for Package 1 at Central High School with Lee Lewis Construction, which includes a waterline reroute.
Trustees will also review the proposed agenda for the regular board meeting scheduled for June 15.
That proposed agenda includes an invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, recognitions — specifically of the Central High School Indoor Percussion Program — and public comments. Information items cover a bond construction update and an update on academic programs.
Consent items include consideration of June donations, approval of minutes from the May 11 pre-agenda workshop and the May 18 regular board meeting, appointment of a delegate and alternate delegate for the Texas Association of School Boards convention, and consideration of a library book purchase.
Action items include consideration of RFQ #26-008 for intercom system replacements under the 2025 bond, the Lakeview High School science wing roof replacement, approval of a Medicaid service agreement with Houston ISD, nomination of Ami Mizell-Flint to fill a Region 15 seat on the TASB Board of Directors, elementary attendance boundaries for the 2027-28 school year, and San Angelo ISD secondary feeder patterns for fall 2027.
The June 15 agenda also lists announcements, including a finance/pre-agenda workshop set for July 13 at 5:45 p.m. and the next regular board meeting on July 20 at 5:45 p.m., before adjournment.
