City Offices Closed for Memorial Day

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - City offices will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

Trash collection/landfill

  • There will be no interruption in trash collection.
  • The landfill will be closed Saturday, May 23, but will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.

Fort Concho

Fort Concho will host a Memorial Day program at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25, on the Parade Ground in front of the Headquarters building. In the event of poor weather, the program will move to the nearby Quartermaster building. 

The guest speaker will be C.A. Maedgen III of San Angelo, a Vietnam veteran and active member of local and regional historical preservation groups.

Memorial salutes will be provided by the Fort Concho Living History program and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. A color guard from the ROTC chapter at Central High School will also participate.

Refreshments will be served following the program by the Pocahontas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Fort Concho will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Memorial Day for self-guided tours.

City office closures

Among the City operations closed May 25:

  • Animal Shelter
  • City Hall and the Community Development building
  • City Hall Annex
  • Fairmount Cemetery business offices
  • Municipal Court
  • Parks and Recreation offices
  • San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
  • Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers
  • Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers
  • WIC offices

City offices will reopen Tuesday, May 26.
