SAN ANGELO, TX — TLCA San Angelo senior Sydnee Davis Owens signed Thursday to continue her cheerleading career at Lubbock Christian University.
Owens is a three-time All-American cheerleader who was chosen to participate in the London New Year’s Day parade in England during her sophomore year.
She will now take her talents up the road to Lubbock to be a member of the NCAA Division II school’s cheerleading squad.
Owens “truly represents the heart of TLCA,” the school stated in a Facebook post. She serves as TLCA’s senior class vice president, a student council leader, a youth sports coach, regularly sings the national anthem, and has participated in countless academic and extracurricular activities.
Owens also participated in volleyball and track and field. Last month, she qualified for the area meet in the high jump.
