San Angelo Clubhouse to Host Events for Mental Health Awareness Month

SAN ANGELO, TX — In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, San Angelo Clubhouse is inviting the community to events Thursday and Saturday.

At 5 p.m. Thursday, there will be a one-hour event called Coffee & Conversations at San Angelo Clubhouse, 404 S. Irving St., where local officials, community leaders and advocates will gather for an open conversation about mental health in the Concho Valley and the importance of community-based programs like San Angelo Clubhouse.

The event will create space for meaningful dialogue about mental health resources, challenges and solutions.

On Saturday, the 7th Annual 0.5K Fundraiser will be held at 10 a.m. (with registration beginning at 9 a.m.)

The event is designed to bring the community together through laughter, awareness and advocacy. Participants of all ages are invited to join this lighthearted event while supporting mental health services and recovery opportunities in the community.

San Angelo Clubhouse is a program of MHMR Concho Valley and is part of an international network of more than 370 Clubhouses worldwide dedicated to supporting adults living with mental illness through community, employment, education and wellness opportunities.

Community members are encouraged to attend and learn more about the mission of San Angelo Clubhouse.
