SAN ANGELO, TX — The City of San Angelo has named March as the March for Meals Month.
In a press release on Facebook, Meals for the Elderly stated:
"March is officially March for Meals in San Angelo!
"We are honored to align with Meals on Wheels America this month as we celebrate the impact of delivering more than a meal to homebound seniors in our community!
"At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, March will be proclaimed as March for Meals Month, and we are proud to introduce our 2026 Community Champions who will step into delivery routes on March 19:
- Karla Cardenas
- Macy Gully
- Alexis Hernandez
- Joe Hyde
- Destiny Jaso
- Brandon Lopez
- C.J. Lucky
- Michael Looney
- Berkeley Puckitt
- Simon Rincon
- Adam Scott
- Lyndy Stone
- Harry Thomas
- Alma Velez
- Stacy Wright
"We are also honoring Carol Santry as our Honorary Community Champion. For more than 20 years, Carol faithfully delivered meals alongside a volunteer partner, showing us what steady service truly looks like.
"Throughout March, we’ll highlight each Champion right here on our page and share behind-the-scenes moments from their ride-along."
