Mary Coffey: Leland Lacy is the Right Choice to Replace Judge Nolen

The following is a letter of endorsement from Mary Coffey supporting Leland Lacy for Judge of Tom Green County Court at Law No. 1:

Dear Fellow Residents of Tom Green County,

I am writing today to formally endorse Leland Lacy for Judge of Tom Green County Court at Law No. 1.

Having known Leland, and his wife Laura Lacy, for many years, I am confident that Leland possesses the precise blend of experience, temperament, and conservative values required to succeed retiring Judge Ben Nolen.

Unmatched Courtroom Experience

Leland is not a newcomer to our legal system. He has spent over 20 years serving Tom Green County in the courtroom, first as a clerk and then as a dedicated prosecutor. His tenure as the Chief Prosecutor of the Domestic Violence Unit demonstrates his commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community while ensuring firm accountability for offenders.

A Proven Track Record

Leland’s background is uniquely varied, covering thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors and felonies to juvenile law and probate. This breadth of knowledge is essential for a Court at Law Judge, who must handle everything from civil disputes to criminal trials without causing unnecessary delays.

Commitment to San Angelo Values

As a lifelong resident of Tom Green County and a graduate of Texas A&M University and Texas Tech Law School, Leland’s roots run deep. His platform of "Faith, Family, and Fairness" isn’t just a slogan; it is reflected in his two decades of public service and his recent endorsement by the San Angelo Police Officers’ PAC.

I urge my fellow citizens to join me in supporting a candidate who is prepared to lead from day one. Please cast your vote for Leland Lacy in the Republican Primary on March 3.

Sincerely,

Mary Coffey
