Lake View Earns Straight 1s at UIL State Mariachi Festival

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Lake View High School earned straight 1s at the UIL State Mariachi Festival on Thursday for the fourth straight year.

All three judges awarded a 1 to Lake View for its performance, which can be seen here.

Only seven Class 4A schools in Texas earned the distinction of straight 1s.

Lake View’s Mikayla Gaspar was also chosen as one of the meet’s Outstanding Performers.

Lake View’s mariachi band is directed by Rosendo Ramos.

Lake View also had four eighth-graders and one seventh-grader from Lincoln Middle School competing with the high school.

The UIL State Mariachi Festival was held Feb. 19-21 at Seguin High School.
