Garage Fire in North San Angelo Knocks Out Power in Neighborhood

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A garage fire in north San Angelo on Friday afternoon caused at least five homes in the neighborhood to lose electricity.

The fire began about 4 p.m. on Bowie Street near its intersection with 26th Street.

Three fire engine trucks, a rescue truck and an ambulance responded to the scene, along with police vehicles to help block traffic.

AEP and Atmos Energy also had trucks at the scene. AEP estimated that power would be restored in the area by 6:30 p.m.

The San Angelo Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
