ASU Honors Over 80 Faculty and Staff, Including President Hawkins, with Service Awards

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - Over 80 Angelo State University faculty and staff members, including ASU President Ronnie Hawkins, two vice presidents and 18 employees with a quarter century or more at the university, were honored with Service Awards during a ceremony on Feb. 10 in the ASU Houston Harte University Center.

The honorees were each presented with awards representing their years of service to the university. Receiving a 40-Year Service Award was Juan Montemayor, Mathematics. The 35-Year Service Awards went to David Hegwood, Facilities Management; Lorri Morris, Testing Center; and Mark Motl, Computer Science. Receiving 30-Year Service Awards were Hal Peter, Facilities Management, and Cody Scott, Agriculture.

The 25-Year Service Awards went to Brian Braden, Information Technology; Aaron Carrillo, Print Shop; Jackie Droll, Information Technology; Mark Hama, Natalie Zan Ryan Department of English and Modern Languages; Karl Havlak, Mathematics; Joey Hereford, Information Technology; Keith Hoelscher, Financial Aid and Scholarships; Sahit Kara, Accounting, Economics and Finance; John Mathews, Information Technology; Bradley Petty, Office of the Dean of Students; Elicia Rankin, Purchasing and Operations; and Kraig Schell, Psychology.

Recipients of 20-Year Service Awards were Timothy Bonenfant, Visual and Performing Arts; Kevin Conner, Information Technology; and Benedict Sum, Visual and Performing Arts.

The 15-Year Service Awards went to Dara Anderson, Information Technology; Anthony Bartl, Political Science and Philosophy; Bruce Bechtol, Security Studies and Criminal Justice; Cynthia Beldon, Porter Henderson Library; Tyler Blount, Financial Aid and Scholarships; Heather Braden, Physical Therapy; James Dickison, Agriculture; Jamie Mayer, External Affairs; Judith McAnanama, Facilities Management; Alan Meeks, Information Technology; Kerri Mikulik, Admissions; Crystal Nelms, Archer College of Health and Human Services; Christena Parks, Academic Affairs; Marva Solomon, Teacher Education; and Ty Walden, Information Technology.

Recipients of 10-Year Service Awards were Joshua Berthold, Facilities Management; Tanya Biggs, Development and Alumni Relations; Leah Carruth, Teacher Education; Victor Chhuor, Information Technology; Lenore Cortez, Nursing; Thomas Dibbern, Athletics; Carlos Flores, Teacher Education; Kristi Flores, Admissions; Erin Girsch, Freshman College; Dorothy Goddard, Nursing; Ridge Goodloe, Development and Alumni Relations; Gina Heep, Curriculum and Instruction; Audrey Heron, Curriculum and Instruction; Omar Horner, International Studies; Angela Howell, Academic Affairs; Teresa Huckaby, Physical Therapy; Mellisa Huffman, Natalie Zan Ryan Department of English and Modern Languages; Randall Jenkins, Office of the Dean of Students; Raj Kamalapur, Management and Marketing; Steven Keniston, Visual and Performing Arts; and William Kitch, David L. Five-Year Service Awards went to Joseph Calk, Accounting, Economics and Finance; Zachary Deere, Information Technology; Shanmugapriya Dharmarajan, Chemistry and Biochemistry; David Gravlee, David L. Hirschfeld Department of Engineering; Jose Gutierrez, University Police; Ronnie Hawkins, Office of the President; Thomas Hayes, Special Events Facilities and Services; Hannah Hoelscher, Admissions; Sara McKeown, Porter Henderson Library; Landri Ognowski, Accounting, Economics and Finance; Shawn Scruggs, Facilities Management; and Michele Ward, University Recreation.
